Studio Self Portrait:
1. This piece has to do a lot with the big idea for this unit which is Identity. The instructions for this project was to think of a protagonist and an antagonist Disney character. I had to think about my own personality, the good and the bad, and relate it to two disney characters personalities. After looking up some chacters I found out that Ariel was very fun and full of life. I also found out that Captain hook can be intimidating but not always taken seriously. Both of these characters are similar to my identity.
2. I could incorporate this lesson into my classroom by talking about how Close never let his dreams and passion for painting die just because he is diabled and went through a lot in his life. I would show some of his amazing work so they can see some of his art and then show a clip about him. I could incorporte this into either a history lesson and have students do an important date in history or I could do it for literature and maybe have them for characters in a story.

Collage:
1. This piece is based around an event that has happened in my life that has shaped my identity which is the big idea for this unit. Dancing has really made me who I am today and I wanted to convey that in my collage. This collage is a stage with ballet shoes on it and big spot lights on them.
2. I could incorporate this lesson into my classroom on maybe the first week of school. This would be a good way for me to get to know my students and for them to get to know each other. It can help them explore their identity too.

1. This piece has to do with the identity of the folktale characters Hansel and Grettle. I portrayed these characters a courious couple of kids. In the story, both Hansel and Grettle are curious about the witches house. I thought about what animal I thought of as curious and I came up with a cat.
2. I could incorporate this lesson into my classroom by integrating it with literature. Maybe when we are studying a story and the characters in the story I could have them do this project about them.
